Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers
This policy applies to all payments made for courses and related services offered by mediarisly. These include professional training programmes focused on media feeds, video operation, live signal management, content distribution, camera work, and the creation of reliable high-quality feeds for news programmes and television broadcasting. The policy covers both one-time course purchases and any subscription-based access to training materials or live sessions. It does not cover third-party products or services purchased through external links.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Any Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as certification, extended access periods, or live one-to-one coaching sessions. These extras are clearly itemised before payment is completed. Currency conversion fees charged by your bank or payment provider are your responsibility and are not included in the displayed price.
Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation, and Payment Security
We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. Payment is authorised at the time of order placement. All transactions are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant gateways to protect your financial information. mediarisly does not store full card details on its systems. Authorisation may be declined if there are insufficient funds, suspected fraud, or mismatches with billing information provided.
Order, Booking, or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed
A binding contract is formed when you receive an order confirmation email following successful payment. This email contains details of the course or service, access instructions, and a summary of your rights. Until this confirmation is sent, no contract exists and any pre-authorised amounts may be released.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods
Under UK consumer law you generally have 14 days from the date of contract formation to cancel without giving a reason. For digital content or services that begin immediately upon access, this right may be lost once you start consuming the material. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time but refunds are subject to the rules below. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via the contact form on our Contacts page or by emailing [email protected].
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items or Services
Refunds are available for unused courses within the 14-day cooling-off period provided no substantial content has been accessed. Once you have viewed more than a minimal portion of the materials or attended a live session, the course is considered consumed and non-refundable. Promotional or discounted offers, certification fees, and any personalised coaching sessions are excluded from refunds. Technical issues caused by your own equipment or internet connection do not qualify for refund.
The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact [email protected] or use the form on the Contacts page. Provide your order number, full name, the date of purchase, and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may also include the reason for cancellation although this is not required. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification of the Refund Decision
Our team will review your request against the eligibility criteria within five working days. You will be notified by email whether the refund is approved or rejected, together with an explanation if rejected. If additional information is needed we will request it and pause the review until it is supplied.
Refund Method, Processing Time, and When Funds Should Reach the Customer
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear within five to ten working days depending on your provider. Bank transfers may take up to seven working days. We aim to process all refunds within ten working days of approval.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services, or Promotional Offers Where Relevant
Digital courses and live media training sessions are treated as digital content under UK law. Once you download or stream substantial material your cancellation right ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional bundles are non-refundable after the first access occurs. We will clearly state these limitations before you complete any purchase.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud
If a payment fails we will notify you and allow one further attempt. Duplicate charges will be investigated and refunded promptly once confirmed. Chargebacks or suspected fraudulent activity will result in immediate account suspension pending investigation. You must notify us of any unauthorised transactions within 48 hours of discovery.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the Target Country That the Policy Cannot Exclude
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract. If any term conflicts with mandatory law, the law prevails.
